AIGA: Get out the Vote
http://www.aiga.org/get-out-the-vote/
Get Out the Vote, an AIGA Design for Democracy initiative, enables designers to engage in the public arena by contributing to a coordinated voter mobilization campaign. By motivating eligible citizens to register and turn out on election day, Get Out the Vote fulfills an ongoing AIGA objective of demonstrating the value of design to the public, public officials and business by providing a clear call to action for an activity that is important to everyone.
Due: Thursday September 13th.
As we've discussed in class, this is a "call to action" to encourage people to go out and vote. It is political but it should be bipartisan in nature. Maybe one of your designs centers around an issue and the other around the candidates or the political parties or just the nature of freedom and the privilege to vote.
These should be 12 x 18 and mounted.
All the posters should have the bottom template from the AIGA site attached to it.
It can be any color; all the type on the template should be the same as the original.
They should have a full bleed unless your design designates something different.
Color/Black and White. Your choice.
These can be silksreened on paper if you so desire.
Photography, Illustration, Typographical, Mixed Media.
Be creative and let your concepts be fresh.
You're approach and your conceptual abilities are the main focus on this project.
Vote. Voting. Democracy in action.
